The Vegetative Waste Site was established to promote recycling of green waste material which is the single largest component of waste going into landfills.

Vegetative waste is commonly known as green waste. These materials such as grass clippings, leaves, limbs, hedge clippings, landscape materials, and logs are all accepted at the Vegetative Waste Site.

Leaves and grass clippings should be placed in paper bags. Items may be transported in plastic bags; however they must be removed by the customer at the time of disposal. Plastic bags act as a contaminant and prevent the green waste material from being recycled.

Presently, over 90% of the green waste accepted can be recycled.

Rules and Regulations:
- Leaves and grass clippings will be accepted in paper bags ONLY!
- No tractor trailers.
- No roll offs.
- Timber and logs must be LESS than 24 inches in diameter and 6 feet in length.
- Rocks and dirt are not accepted at this site.
- No household waste is accepted at the Green Waste Site.

Disposal Fees:
There is a $7.00 minimum fee for disposal. Prices are set by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners and are subject to change.

- Pick-up truck loads will range between $7.00 and $30.00 per load.
- Panel trucks, dump trucks, and landscape trailers range from $30 to $90.

Fees are based on the size of the vehicle, trailer capacity, and volume of the load. Site attendants will price your load based on the price structure approved by the Cobb County Board of Commissioners.
